How connecting works
Section titled “How connecting works”Each integration connects in one of two ways — the integration’s page in the console shows which one applies:
- Continue to … button (sign-in). You click Continue to the provider and approve Fluxy on the provider’s own screen and come back. Nothing to copy or paste. Google, Zoho, Salesforce and IdeaSoft always connect this way; many others offer it where available — each integration’s page says so.
- Credentials form. You paste an API key or token from the provider. Each integration’s page below says exactly where to find it.
Not set up yet? If an integration’s page says it is not set up, it is not enabled for your workspace yet. Click Ask us to enable to email Fluxy support.
We test before saving. Before a connection is saved, we make a real call to the provider (for example asking the store who it is). A wrong key fails on the connect screen — not in the middle of a customer conversation.
Who can do what
Section titled “Who can do what”- Only admins can connect or disconnect integrations.
- Operators can see what is connected.
Security
Section titled “Security”- Keys and tokens are stored encrypted and are never shown again after saving.
- Each integration’s page shows its health and an activity log of recent calls.
- Disconnecting (hold the Hold to disconnect button) deletes the stored credentials immediately and, where the provider allows it, withdraws our access there too. Your settings (for example stage mappings) are kept, so reconnecting is quick.
