Cal.com

With Cal.com connected, the agent offers real open times, books after the customer says yes and can cancel a booking it made in the same conversation.

  1. In Cal.com, open Settings → Developer → API keys and create a key (it starts with cal_live_). Pick no expiry or a long one — when the key expires, the console asks you to connect again.
  2. Go to Settings → Integrations → Cal.com and paste it as API key.
  3. Running Cal.com on your own server? Also enter its address under API address (self-hosted only). Otherwise leave it empty.

We ask Cal.com who the key belongs to before saving.

  • Hidden event types are never offered.
  • Times are in your Cal.com time zone; if the customer is elsewhere, the agent shows both. It looks at most 7 days at a time.
  • Before booking, the agent asks the customer to confirm. Right before writing, it checks the slot again, so a taken time is never booked.
  • If the event type has a required question on its booking page, the agent sends the booking page link instead. If the type asks for a phone number, the agent asks for it.
  • If a booking needs your approval in Cal.com, the agent does not say it is confirmed.
  • Recurring event types are not booked from the chat; the agent sends the booking page.
  • The agent cancels only bookings made in the same conversation, again after the customer confirms.

When you disconnect, delete the key in Cal.com as well under Settings → Developer → API keys.
