Your agent answers on the official WhatsApp Business Platform (Cloud API). You connect your number through Meta’s own signup window — we never see your Facebook password.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- A Meta Business account (you can create one during signup).
- A phone number that is not currently used in the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app — or one you are ready to move to the platform.
- Admin access to your workspace.
Connect
Section titled “Connect”- Go to Settings → Channels and choose WhatsApp.
- Click connect. Meta’s window opens. Pick your business and your WhatsApp account there, add or choose the number and verify it.
- When the window closes, we register the number. The channel only says connected after registration has really finished.
- Point an agent at the number from Agents, or set one up in the wizard.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| The signup window closed before a number came back | Nothing was connected. Start again when you are ready. |
| Meta’s window may have said the number is connected; registering it here did not finish | Meta finished, our registration did not — nobody answers on the number yet. Try connecting again; if it repeats, contact support. |
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- 24-hour window. WhatsApp only allows free-form replies within 24 hours of the customer’s last message. Outside that window, messages must use approved templates — for example order notifications.
- One workspace can connect more than one number; choose which number does what (for example which one sends order notifications).
